There has been a tremendous response with more wands coming in than ever imagined! It is incredibly inspiring to see so many people taking action.
As a result of the outpouring of compassion from around the world, we can only accept wands twice a year in October & February.
Mail form with wands & donations to: P.O. Box 1211, Skyland, NC 28776
Keep up with the wild ones and what is happening with the wand program on social media and be sure to use #wandsforwildlife in your posts.
Wands for Wildlife® - accepting wands in October & February
Old mascara wands are used to remove fly eggs and larva from the fur and feathers of wild animals. They work great because the bristles are close together.
Gather old mascara wands and donations to help the wild ones by hosting a Wands for Wildlife® Wandraiser! Be sure to let everyone know about the online Wishlist of food and supplies for the care and treatment of the injured and orphaned wild ones.
Before mailing: wash wands in warm soapy water to remove residual mascara. In October and February, mail form with wands & donations to: P.O. Box 1211, Skyland, NC 28776. Check postage & packaging requirements at your local post office.
Please do not purchase new wands - the program is for recycling old wands. Instead, donate food or supplies from the Wishlist or make a donation.
